Music. All of it.

Slow to the punch, but I’m finally there, and I think The War On Drug’s Slave Ambient has snuggled its way comfortably into my top 5 of last year (this is, of course, a completely arbitrary list, I couldn’t tell you what the other albums on it are). This album is complete. It’s well produced, intricate, and soulful. Granduciel’s slow bellow permeates the album and creates a very classic rock feel.

Imagine you stuffed Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen, and the occasional U2 riff into a bag. How good would that album be?

Slave Ambient is how good that album would be.
