Here’s a really awesome article by Jon Wurster (drummer for Superchunk and The Mountain Goats) about R.E.M. and how a band he saw when he was sixteen has shaped and contributed to much of the music I listen to now, through the simple act of him seeing them live.
A fitting epitaph/celebration of a four brilliant songwriters.
